Rooms and Suites

All of their accommodations are to a very high standard, luxuriously appointed in an African style. Each room features its own furnished terrace overlooking the gardens or Namibian bush.
Relax here in total peace and quiet or join in with other guests at our outside terrace and dining area, which overlooks a waterhole, and is an ideal spot to watch the animals come to drink.
Meals can be taken inside or outside. We serve a combination of Namibian and French cuisine with specially picked South African wines. Special diets can of course be catered for on request.
All their rooms have air conditioning, bathroom, mini-bar, satellite television, telephone and private terrace.

Dining

EPAKO, offers dining and service to the best international standards.
Their executive chef will delight you with a combination of local and international cuisine, served either in our main lodge dining rooms or on the adjoining open air terrace, both with un interrupted views onto the surrounding bush and lodge waterhole.
The spacious terrace and lounge areas are also ideal settings for relaxing over drinks, soaking up the atmosphere, spotting animals at the waterhole, or gazing at the stars.

Boulders Safari Camp is undoubtedly the most exclusive camp at Wolwedans.

Sundowners can be enjoyed from the top of a mountainous rock plateau close by, delivering epic impressions of the vast beauty of the surroundings…

The main area consists of a dining and lounge tent, a breakfast deck and open fireplace. Sundowners can be enjoyed from the top of a mountainous rock plateau close by, delivering epic impressions of the vast beauty of the surroundings.

From Boulders Safari Camp you will explore the deep south of NamibRand Nature Reserve. Guided scenic drives, or two to three hour walking safaris treading along the ancient hunting grounds of the bushmen, will happily fill your days.

Boulders provides a classic safari experience and the camp calls for a two night stay - ideally booked in combination with one or two nights at any of the other camps in the dunes.

* Children who share a room with parents pay 25% of adult rate as we will put in an extra bed/matress. Immersed in the African Mopani bush, Ongava Tented Camp is a natural extension of this wild, wonderful landscape.

Large, comfortable walk-in tents with views across to a prolific waterhole are evocative of this classic African safari. All meals are enjoyed in the thatched dining area where a pool area affords an intimate view of the waterhole. Share a drink and the sunset in the close company of lion, eland, waterbuck, kudu and other fascinating animals as part of your ultimate safari experience.

Child Policy:

* Children 3-16 years pay 35 percent off the adult rate if traveling during the peak season (15 Jun - 31 Oct and 20 Dec - 10 Jan).
* Children 17 years and older pay adult rates on any room type.
* The discounted child rate is only applicable to bookings in family rooms or standard twin rooms in camps that have a family room (should the family room not be available for your particular booking).
* In addition, at Ongava Tented Camp parties with children 12 years and younger are required to book and pay for private activities unless the camp is booked as exclusive use or they have filled a vehicle (6 guests). A family booking will depend on availability of the private vehicle/activities at the selected camp for the period requested.
* Child participation in activities will vary depending on the camp and the activity.
* Triple share accommodation is on a request basis and only allowed for children 16 years and under sharing with adults - not for three adults sharing. The Dunes Lodge is perched on top of a dune plateau, overlooking panoramic vistas in all directions and capturing the beauty of the desert in a most memorable way.

The building style is a combination of wooden structures and canvas blinds, opening up to the desert beyond. The lodge reflects the ambience of a tented camp, but provides the comfort and protection of a permanent building. Each of the nine spacious chalets with en-suite bathrooms has a private verandah, which connects you to vast stretches of untouched sand. Sleeping with your canvas blinds open is just like sleeping under the stars.

The main complex consists of two lounges, a number of sundowner decks, a fireplace, a tea deck, a library, the wine cellar and two dining rooms. The lodge also has a swimming pool, which is suspended above the sand. All communal areas of the lodge open out onto decks with superb views. The variety of recreational space makes a visit both exciting and relaxing. To make the most of your visit we recommend you stay for three nights.

Activities on the NamibRand Nature Reserve

Soar the desert skies in a hot air balloon, embark on a fly-in day safari to some of the most remote natural wonders in Namibia or experience the true magnitude of NamibRand on a walking safari. Whether you discover natures miracles on foot, by land rover or from the air you will be astounded by the multi-faceted desert habitat, home to the most intriguing desert-adapted flora and fauna. Scenic drives and/or flights and nature walks with resident field guides reveal the fascinating wonders of the NamibRand Nature Reserve as do picnics in the wild, sundowners on the dunes and dinners by candlelight.

CHILDREN’S POLICY
