Situated on the banks of the Sand River allowing for fantastic game viewing without leaving the camp. Inyati Private Game Reserve is set in 65 000 hectares of unspoiled bushveld within the Sabi Sand Reserve, adjacent to the world-renowned Kruger National Park. The lodge is situated on the banks of the Sand River allowing for fantastic game viewing without leaving the camp. Diversity of species and relaxed big game allows for close-up game viewing and photography. With no boundary fences between the Sabi Sand and the Kruger National Park, this reserve benefits from the great diversity of wildlife found in one of the richest wilderness areas on the African continent along, with the additional benefits experienced on a private game reserve.

Inyati consists of seven luxury chalets and four executive chalets. The lodge accommodates only 22 guests.

Inyati’s superbly positioned guest sitting and dining areas overlook the Sand River, ensuring scenic vistas across the riverbed. The verandah overlooks the riverine vegetation, which is the natural habitat of the elephant and hippo.

Other facilities available - the Warthog hollow bar, library, filtered swimming pool, air-conditioned gym and walk-in wine cellar. Inyati consists of seven luxury chalets and four executive chalets. Each air-conditioned suite features generous spaces, en-suite bathrooms with twin hand basins, separate bath, shower and w.c. The lodge accommodates 22 guests.

Game drives are conducted in customized open land rovers, providing guests with quiet, state-of-the-art comfort and safety.

View Africa’s most impressive wildlife on morning and afternoon/ evening game drives in open 4-wheel drive safari vehicles with expert guides and Shangaan trackers.

Guests can also enjoy interpretive guided bush walks offering the bird watcher, dendrologist, botanist and the nature enthusiast the ultimate bush experience. Game drives traverse an area of 10 000 hectares and strict vehicle limits at sightings ensure the exclusivity of your game viewing experience. Off-road driving ensures that you have the best possible view of any exceptional sighting and rangers are constantly in touch with each other to keep track of animal movements.

The morning safari departs at sunrise and the evening drive leaves late enough for guests to enjoy a bush sunset with sundowners.

Should you want complete privacy it is possible to hire a vehicle on a private basis. Exclusive use of a safari vehicle will need to be reserved well in advance. Prices available on request.

Leopard, lion, elephant, buffalo, white rhino, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, hippo, wildebeest, kudu and many other mammal and bird species occur. Inyati means buffalo in Shangaan / Tsonga which is one of the languages of the local people, and Inyati is home to this powerful, indomitable breed.

A must for all nature enthusiasts is the bush walk. This affords guests the ultimate, close to the wild experience and a chance to focus on the smaller bush inhabitants including birds, insects and butterflies. One can discover the interesting world of trees, grasses, flowers, geology and ecology. Occasionally game can be seen on walks - including the “Big 5”.

Bush walks take place either before or just after breakfast, depending on the time of the year and the prevailing weather conditions.

Inyati has telescopes for guests to gaze up at the night sky. We also offer spellbinding talks on the moon, various planets and constellations that are so clearly visible in the crisp, clean night air - unhindered by the pollution, lights and air traffic that clutter the city skies. Discover the Milky Way, and the many constellations characteristic of the southern skies.

Inyati Game Reserve, being easily accessible by both air and road, is the perfect venue for a unique conference getaway. Inyati can accommodate up to 22 people. TREE TOPS is a separate facility approximately 3 kilometres from the main camp which caters for informal conferences and team-building facilities for up to 40 delegates.

Basic conference equipment is supplied (including overhead projector, flipchart, TV, video, notepad and pens). Should the group require any extra equipment, at least two weeks notification prior to arrival is required. Team-building programmes have been designed to encourage competition and team work.
