Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge
Hhluhluwe iMfolozi Park, Kwazulu Natal
Amenities & Facilities
Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge is situated on the western boundary in the first private concession within Africas oldest proclaimed Game Reserve Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park, Northern KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Set in a 96 000 hectare park Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge enables guests to enjoy 4 star luxury at a private lodge for the first time within the park, offering spectacular scenery and excellent safari opportunities within the heart of Big 5 territory.
Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge accommodates a maximum of 44 guests in 3 different room types. The rooms have been carefully positioned high up on a ridge to take full advantage of the spectacular views over the hills and valleys of HluhluweiMfolozi Park while at the same time giving each room maximum privacy. This has resulted in some of the rooms being quite a distance from the central lodge facility with some of them being a 200 metre walk to the main lodge area.
Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge offers both early morning and evening game drives. Game drive safaris are conducted in specially adapted open Land cruisers, with professional guides. To preserve our wilderness no off-road driving is practiced. In addition to drivin on our private concession we have unlimited access to the greater Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park home of white rhino conservation. A typical day would include an early start, a cup of fresh coffee or tea, rusks & muffins after which guests set out on their game drive. Guides at the lodge meet the stringent requirements of Ezemvelo Parks Authority and senior guides hold the highest guiding qualifications possible in South Africa, to ensure that your encounters with the African bush are exciting, informative and safe.
In the late afternoon after a delicious high tea, you can enjoy an evening game drive, widing down with Sundowners, watching spectacular sunsets and spotting nocturnal creatures in the Park.
Guests wanting to indulge themselves can make use of our beautiful spa facilities. A full range of spa and beauty therapies are offered by a team of dedicated professionals. Rejuvenate the mind, body and soul while relaxing in tranquil surroundings offering spectacular views over the park. Relax to the sounds of the wild and soak in the essence of Africa.
