The Commodore offers 236 elegantly furnished standard rooms and suites. Standard Rooms (164)
Situated on floors 1 through 4, each room has individual air-conditioning units, personalised safes, hairdryers, mini bars and colour TVs. For your convenience, all rooms have en-suite bathroom facilities with electrical razor sockets.

Business Class Rooms (57)

Elevated for even more stunning views of the Mother City, the Business Class rooms are situated on the 5th and 6th Floors of the hotel with views of either Table Mountain or the sparkling Atlantic Ocean and Robben Island. Each room has a balcony for you to enjoy the sea air. Each room has individual air-conditioning units, personalised safes, hairdryers, mini bars and colour TVs. For your convenience, all rooms have en-suite bathroom facilities with electrical razor sockets.

Executive Suites (10)

Feel truly pampered in the executive First Class Suites. Magical views of either Table Mountain or the Atlantic Ocean and Robben Island will bring you back to Cape Town time after time. All suites boast balconies for you to take in the fresh sea air. The rooms are spacious and have adjacent lounge areas for private entertaining. All rooms have individual air-conditioning units, personalised safes, hairdryers, mini bars and colour TVs. For your convenience, all rooms have en-suite bathroom facilities with electrical razor sockets, and the First Class Suite also has a guest restroom with its own electrical razor socket.

Imperial Suite

Be treated like visiting royalty in the one and only Imperial Suite, situated above the madding crowd on the 6th floor of the hotel - the perfect place from which to enjoy the breathtaking views of one of the seven most beautiful cities in the world. The Imperial Suite offers the discerning guest a separate lounge and dining area with seating for six guests, which lead off onto the balcony. Spend a restful night on the king-size bed or relax and watch TV on an LCD screen. The bedroom has a separate bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. Two direct-dialing telephones in your suite ensure that, while you take private comfort in luxury, you will always stay in contact with the outside world - if you wish.

Dining

The nautical theme extends to the menu, which offers seafood delicacies, such as fresh Namibian Oysters, Mussels with Garlic and Herbs, Crayfish Bisque topped with Cream and Chive Slivers. For those wanting to sample the best in red meat, there is plenty for you to choose from. Smoked Venison thinly sliced on a bed of lettuce and crunchy focaccia wafers will start you off. Follow this with Beef Fillet grilled to your liking or Roast Venison accompanied by Rosemary Scented Sweet Potato Wedges. For the not so hungry there are light meals such as Prawn Curry and Chicken and Leek Phyllo Pie, or for a more satisfying meal try the Roast Kingklip, Warm Smoked Salmon Fillet, Grilled West Coast Rock Lobster or a Confit of Duck Leg. Whatever your culinary desire, the menu will leave you and your guests feeling sumptuously nourished.

Children's Policy

Children under the age of 12 (maximum one child per room) will be accommodated free of charge on a Bed Only basis if sharing with one or two adults, but will be charged for meals. Children occupying their own rooms will be charged the full adult rate. Subject to availability of family rooms; children aged 0-2, no charge. Children aged 3-12, 50% of the applicable rate per meal per day. This policy does not apply to room service meals.
